Research profile:

The main research interests of A.M. Wójcik include population genetics and evolution of mammals. She is particularly interested in the study of genetic variation by isoenzyme electrophoresis, morphometric and non-metric variation and chromosome polymorphism. Her ongoing studies are focused on: (1) genetic variation in relation to physiological and breeding parameters in the bank vole; (2) factors responsible for the maintenance of B-chromosome polymorphism in a population of the yellow-necked mouse; (3) morphometric and non-metric variation of the common shrew and the yellow-necked mouse. She is the author and co-author of 17 scientific papers and articles.

International experience:

  • 1988 - 1 month training and research visit to Institute d’Ecologie, Faculte des Sciences, Universite de Lausanne, Switzerland
  • 1987 - 1 month training visit, Institute of Cytology and Genetics, Novosibirsk and N.K. Koltzov Institute of Developmental Biology, Moscow, Russia
